Job Title: Manager EHS ( Safety)
Job Description:[Register to View] coordinate/conduct in-house training programs to educate employees on job-specific safety aspects- lab safety, chemical safety, Personal Protective Equipment selection, emergency preparedness and response plan, emergency assembly area, emergency coordinators for their building, emergency safety equipment. [Register to View] participate in incident investigation process to determine the underlying causes and recommend appropriate preventive and corrective actions. [Register to View] inform users of chemical-related health and safety requirements and assist with the selection of appropriate safety controls, including engineering, administrative (practices and procedures), training, and personal protective equipment. [Register to View] perform half yearly safety inspections within the facilities, maintain records of inspection findings and ensure all corrective actions are completed. [Register to View] inspect the facilities daily for identifying any risks with respect to environment, health, safety and thereby abate likely hazards. [Register to View] identify the potentially hazardous conditions or operations in the lab, perform literature searches relevant to environment, health and safety and enforce the use of safe operating procedures, material safety data sheet guidance and controls applicable to the work performed.

8.Train and strengthen plant Process Safety Management coordinators in their Process Safety Management related duties
9.Provide training to employees and contractors (as required) to assure understanding and compliance with Process Safety Management Standards and local process safety requirements
10.Ensure plant process hazard analysis leaders are trained in proper process hazard analysis techniques and ensure plant process hazard analysis are led by appropriately qualified personnel. Review results of all process hazard analysis for quality and thoroughness.
11.Support Process Safety Management Excellence implementation. Identify needs required to comply with Process Safety Management requirements.
12.Develop a Surveillance system for Process Risk Assessment controls installed on existing process and future projects
13.Track and follow-up of action items/completion to ensure timing solution of any findings from Process Safety Management audits, Process Hazard Analysis studies and other Process Safety Management assessment activities.
14.Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews prior to startup of new or modified processes or equipment or after extended shutdown of equipment. Periodically review site Pre-Startup Safety Reviews for quality and completeness.
15.Perform Layer of Protection Analysis for determining if the risk of an accident scenario is not in as low as reasonably practicable region
16.Work in tandem with the Engineering and maintenance staff to develop, coordinate and evaluate maintenance programs for highly technical equipment.
17.Evaluate the changes proposed from Process Safety Management perspective and advise accordingly for effective controls.
18.Provide environment, health and safety support for the review and assessment of capital projects for Process Safety Management related requirements.
19.Lead in Process Safety Event investigations/root cause analysis to provide guidance to all plants. In conjunction with site management teams, track progress of corrective actions where business wide issues are identified.
20.Deep knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration /Centre for Chemical Process or similar Process Safety Management system.
21.Deep knowledge of tools used for hazard identification & risk analysis such as check-list, hazard and operability study, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Layer Of Protection Analysis & Quantitative Risk Analysis and application of each depending on analysis needs.
22.Experience in implementing safety programs in Pharma/ chemical/bio-chemical manufacturing environments
23.Fire safety management Technical/functional Skills: Process safety management Safe Systems of work (permit to work, risk assessment etc) Compliance (regulatory and internal) Incident/Accident management Fire safety management Knowledge of current Health and Safety practice within Pharma sector
